Clarity Rapport Pro uses an extremely powerful word processor based on an object-based architecture to let you construct multimedia documents and then print, mail, or fax them. Recipients using Clarity Rapport products receive their mail with all components in place and intact just as the sender built it; others receive documents converted into their choice of application formats.

Multimedia Documents

Rapport Pro has a powerful word processor that lets you combine text with spreadsheets, scanned images, art, and audio annotations to build multimedia compound documents. Use the tools provided or assemble the document from a wide variety of other sources. Or instead of a text document, create a slide presentation. Documents or slides are mailed with all media in place, not broken apart into attachments, so their relationships are maintained.

Multiple Media, Multiple Applications

Work with all media types in one window. Embed any type of media into any application; for instance, an audio annotation may be inserted into an imported spreadsheet or a drawing made on top of an image.

Bridge Across Platforms

Use information from other applications; not just to attach as separate enclosures, but to integrate into a robust, multimedia document. Imported information may be edited and formatted as desired. In addition, specialized applications may be integrated with Clarity Rapport Pro using Clarity's powerful macro and API facility, FLEX, and industry-standard languages and user interface tools.

Multiple Platforms

Automatic and transparent conversion and exchange of documents enables rich, formatted communication across UNIX workstations, PCs, and Macintosh systems. Automatic accommodation of other mail systems, including MIME, gives organizations flexibility to use multiple e-mail packages if desired. You may even mix standard UNIX SMTP and HP's OpenMail X.400 protocols.
